Today in western civ, we went over some of the notes we took in class the other day, we also continued to watch the Guns, Germs, and Steel video and took more notes; all of the domesticated animals were native to New Guinea or Australia, sub saharan Africa, and North America. The only animal not in those countries were llamas in South America. The other 13 are from Asia, Europe, North America. Cows, sheep, goats, and pigs are from the Middle East. And we discovered that Gwar is a 9,000 year old civilization and they created plaster to make it. At the end of class we talked about all of our notes and the snow days we had.

We paused the video a few times though to look at the goats, because we thought they were cute and judge if they were good goats or bad goats.

Western Civ day 1

Today was the first day of Western Civ, Mr. Schick gave us some classroom guidelines and what the class will be like during the course of this semester. He told us about the blogs we will have to do every night for homework for the next 90 days and have 150 words on the blog, He also asked us if we wanted to do any new things with his class that we did with Mr. Fendryk, I said we should do more presentations to grow our skills of that specific area. This class should be cool with learning about Ancient Greece and stuff like that.
