Day 1 Pg 152- 153 MAIN IDEAS Power and Authority - Rome began as a republic, a government in which elected officials represent the people. Eventually, absolute rules called emperors seized power and expanded the empire.  Empire building- At its height, the Roman touched three continents-Europe, Asia, and Africa. For several centuries, Rome brought peace and prosperity to its empire before its eventual collapse. Religious and Ethical systems- Out of Judea rose a monotheistic, or single-god, religion known as Christianity. Based on the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth, it soon spread throughout Rome and beyond. Today in Western Civ, awe got our tests handed back to us and went over the questions, Mr. Schick told us he was getting surgery and would be out for 2 weeks, so he gave us a guide for the 10 days he would be out, and then he showed us a song that would help with the test

Today in Western Civ we took the Greece test to end the last day of spring break, honestly I think I did kinda bad but even though I studied so much there was so much material so im not sure how I did, but its okay I still really enjoyed the unit and it was a good challenging test for me.

Today in Western Civ we were given a paper for review on Greece and the paper had questions on it that would help us review for the test on Friday on Greece. The paper had a lot of questions, but I got most of them from my notes. Questions;  1.  a. Philip II became was King of Macedonia, he was a brilliant general and politician. b. Macedonia is located just North of Greece with rough terrain and a cold climate, Macedonians lived in mountain villages rather than city-states. King Philip and Alexander the great from there.  c. Today in Western Civ we went over the questions and notes we did on Wednesday and talked about what each of the definitions mean here is what we went over; Questions; 1. Direct Democracy (form of government in which citizens rule directly and not through representives) important Periclean Athens. Today in Western Civ we watched Elp, Athan, and Dylan perform their rap for the Greece project and I am very proud and amazed because well its them but they. pulled through and did very well I have them all 25s, and then I finished my notes toward the end of class and now im here. It was a short class.

Today in Western Civ we presented and watched people present the Ancient Greece projects, all of them were really good and informational, Syd and I made Loukoumades and presented our project to the class it went fairly well could have been a little smoother but its okay, I hope we get a good grade. The class went by pretty fast today because of the people presenting so not much occurred.
